Leaders from the CAF Connectors Network participated in an outreach workshop.

​Members of CAF Connectors Network in the Washington, DC metropolitan area participated in a very successful outreach training in which participants learned how to implement strategies for greater impact when doing community outreach. This workshop was facilitated by Christopher and Victoria McKaskle who have over 15 years of experience and track record.

More families benefited from our first-time homebuyer classes

​Centro de Apoyo Familiar, once again, successfully offered its monthly seminar to first-time homebuyers in which attendees were able to obtain information and resources on purchasing their first home.

On November 19th, over 300 needy families received fresh produce and turkeys

In a joint effort between Centro de Apoyo Familiar, MAGNET and faith-based members of CAF’s Connectors Network, we distributed fruits, vegetables and turkeys to low-income families in the Washington Metro area.

The participating churches included Restoration of Jordan, Iglesia de Dios de la Profecia Nuevo Pacto, Catedral de la Fe, Tabernáculo de Adoración, New Life Christian Center, New Covenant, and Reniers Church. We appreciate the support of our partners and volunteers for making this outreach possible.

Information Session Department of Commerce Minority Business Development Agency
On Monday the 21st, CAF was invited to learn more about the Four Pillars of Growth and Development for Entrepreneurs: export financing, access to capital, access to government contracts, and access to global markets. The event brought together a number of business owners as well as a great level of resources for minority businesses in Maryland.

Global Vision Community Health Center and CAF serving the Capitol Height community

On November 11th, CAF partnered with Global Vision Community Health Center to provide food, housing and financial literacy information as well as health awareness to low-income residents of Capitol Heights, one of the lowest income communities of Prince George county. We appreciate Dr. Toying Opesanmi and her staff for all the hard work in order to make this possible.​
